HIGHLAND PHASE 2 IMPROVEMENTS

Adam served as the project manager overseeing the detailed design, bidding and construction phase services for a 170 GPM submersible duplex pumping station and roughly 3,000 LF of 4” HDPE force main, the majority of which was installed via directional drilling. The improvements also included the reconstruction of a 400’ cul-de-sac street entering Highland Park. The project started construction at a bid price of $1.8MM and was completed in November 2016, with a total net deduct of over $77,000.

Adam developed an innovative design that enabled this mixed–use development to move forward, while laying the foundation for a regional collection and pumping system for the City of Perrysburg. The design involved the construction of a temporary 3.0 MGD submersible pumping station that will be abandoned and replaced in the future by a 20.0 MGD regional facility. The 3.0 MGD pumping station discharges into a 24” gravity main constructed of pressure-class pipe set to grade that can be easily converted to a force main for the future regional pumping station. In an effort to maximize the cost benefit of the original improvements, a parallel 24” force main was installed at the same time as the gravity sewer and will be connected in the future. Adam was integral in the successful negotiations for the project through the City of Perrysburg and Ohio EPA NWDO.
